Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) 

         Our team offers you the unique opportunity to access the wonderful world of behavior therapy,

hand in hand with a mentor, a supervisor who will take you step by step to meet each

requirement demanded by the BACB, first to become an RBT, and then continue climbing to

other levels, depending on your dreams and desire to prepare and study more. Regularly, the

economic cost of this process is very high, and access to a qualified and trained supervisor, to

train you, as well as to provide service to clients, is also very difficult to access. Here we not

only offer you a Job, we receive you as part of the team, we teach, help and supervise you

along the way, and at the same time you bring us your experience, desires and knowledge to

help Our clients and their families.

 

         A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a credentialed paraprofessional who works one-on-

one with people receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to implement their

intervention plans. As an RBT, you won’t be designing or assessing these plans. Instead, you’ll

be working under close, ongoing supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Here are some duties you can expect to find in an RBT position description:

ï‚· Collecting data about clients’ behaviors through direct observation.

ï‚· Assisting BCBAs as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.

ï‚· Teaching clients the specific behavior skills called for in treatment plans.

ï‚· Nurturing clients’ social skills.

ï‚· Communicating behavioral intervention results in clients’ parents and caregivers.

Requirements for RBT Certification

To be certified as an RBT, you must:

ï‚· Be at least 18 years old.

ï‚· Have a high school diploma.

ï‚· Complete the requisite 40 hours of training, overseen by a BCBA.

ï‚· Undergo a background check within 180 days of submitting your completed RBT Certification Application.

ï‚· Complete and pass the RBT Competency Assessment, in which an assessor observes and evaluates your performance of RBT tasks (in person, live via the internet, or through recorded videos)

ï‚· Complete and pass the RBT exam, which is comprised of 75 multiple-choice questions and assesses the applicant’s knowledge of the RBT Task List.

ï‚· Abide by the RBT Ethics Code.

Pay rate: $18 [training] – $20 [RBT Credential]
